The Val Mustair up to the Ofen Pass offers a wonderful landscape, a well-developed route and relatively little traffic compared to the nearby Stelvio Pass. Nevertheless, for real enjoyment, as always, the ride in the (early) morning hours is highly recommended.

The route itself does not place any special demands on the calves, mostly it rises rather gently, only rarely is there a section that comes close to 10%. Only at the end of the valley, on the last 300 meters in altitude before the pass, does it get a bit longer with 8-10%. This leaves enough air (depending on the speed driven) to enjoy the surrounding beautiful mountains.
