The Leipziger Westend Baugesellschaft AG was a 1888 to 1945 existing corporation whose goal was the infrastructural and structural development of the western districts of Leipzig.
The Westend construction company initially pushed ahead with the completion of the Karl Heine Canal, which was completed in 1898.
The company had its own sandpits and built in 1891 on the Karl-Heine-Kanal a mortar plant.
