The old town hall of Gerolzhofen is a striking, three-storey building with Gothic stepped gables. It was built in 1475 with a "kitchen building" set back to the south and was used from 1585 for "court and feast feasts" by the councilors. The ground floor was once the market hall, today the "army room" for the city's receptions. Since 1984 Stadtmuseum Altes Rathaus, including the 1st Bavarian School Museum. The heart of the city museum is the permanent exhibition "Global success of the sewing machine - from the poor little tailor to the clothing factory".

During the summer months, the "Brunnenschoppen" is served in the old town hall. A worthwhile indulgence. Dates at gerolzhofen.de
