From here you have a beautiful view of the town of Berg, which belongs to the city of Mechernich. The Catholic parish church of St. Peter, Berg Castle and the half-timbered houses in the town center, some of which are over 200 years old, are worth seeing.

From here you have a great view of the town of Berg. The Berg Castle and the church are particularly eye-catching.

Berg is a district of Mechernich. The street village is on the edge of the Zülpicher Börde and thus at the transition to the Eifel.

Berg was first mentioned by the moated castle of Berg in 1350. There used to be two churches in the town. A pilgrimage chapel dedicated to St. Willibrordus was added to today's parish church of St. Peter. Copper mining and copper smelting used to take place in Berg.

On July 1, 1969, Berg was incorporated into Mechernich.

Good to see from afar: the church and the castle.
