The evangelical castle church stands in the inner courtyard of Unteraufseß Castle and is freely accessible during the day. The castle courtyard itself is private and separated by a chain and must not be entered.
The church is kept in a simple baroque style. Above the portal to the sacristy is the noble box for the von Aufseß family, which has its own access from the outside. The wall field above the noble gallery is also richly designed. Two lions hold the builder's coat of arms, above which the eye of God can be seen in a triangle with a wreath of rays. On the southern outside of the church is a heavily weathered 14th century portrait epitaph and the neo-Gothic tomb monument for Hans von Aufseß, who died in 1872, with his bust.

... is an impressive structure, lovingly restored in detail and fascinated by its charisma.

Very nice old castle. Private ownership, therefore only access to the chapel.
