Hiking

The man-made lake is hidden just below the village of Messbach. The old quarry has filled with water and has developed its own biodiversity. In addition to various species of fish, there is also the very rare freshwater jellyfish. The lake is very easy to reach from the Erlenhof on foot or by bike. An idyllic resting place in the Fischbachtal. The Messbachsee is part of the 4.5 km long "Path of Diversity" in the Fischbachtal. It is worth adding the Path of Diversity to your trip to the Messbachsee.
