A mystical place.
The Wildweibchenstein is a striking rock formation made of granite blocks in the forest near the Rodenstein Castle. According to legend, two wild women once lived here in a cave. One of them is said to have been very beautiful, which is why a hunter pursued her. After he had reached his goal, he forgot, in the manner of a hunter, the wild female and the son he had given him. Years later he returned to the Wildweibchenstein and found his son and mother there. His love flared again and he took the two with him.
According to another legend, the wild females are said to have left their forest from time to time by the farmers of Laudenau.

The wild female stone is part of the "Path of Legends". By the way, this is a great thing for families, because there are many stations where the audio guide tells the stories about the places visited. Kind of like fairy tale time.
This group of rocks was once home to 2 "wild females" who were experts in herbs and are associated with a number of legends. They were wise women who used their means to save people from illness and hardship.
If you would like to find out more about this, you should scan the QR code on the local board with your cell phone camera and select the link provided. Then the audio guide tells the story directly.
Should actually work directly from the computer screen. That's why I took a larger photo of the QR code. Have lots of fun with it.
