On the highest peak of the cold field, the highest elevation of the Ostalb, built in 1908, 1931 acquired and converted by the Swabian Albverein Wanderheim, 1976/77 it was expanded and modernized. The wide plateau with junipers, meadows, fields and forest is an ideal recreational area. Two lookout cliffs - Tannhaldenstein and Christentalfelsen - provide exceptionally scenic views of the Filsalb and Ostalb mountains.
