The Schaapwees nature reserve is located in the valley of the Grote Nete. The Schaapwees is located west of the Zoerle-Parwijs-Herselt track in the municipality of Westerlo and is approximately 250 ha. Years ago nature management created open plains here so that heathlands could develop and now you can see the results, a beautiful heathland was created here in a fairly short time!
