There has been an abbey mill here with certainty since 1525, which ground the grain of the farmsteads of the Norbertines. Later, a stable for livestock, a barn, a bakery and a mill house were added to the yard. This ensemble of buildings is still intact today and is a unique example of a typical Kempen mill domain.

Hiking
The Beddermolen used to belong to the abbey of Tongerlo, and is located a stone's throw away. The mill domain, which was created in the 15th century, is a beautiful example of the typical Kempen mill sites of the past, of which unfortunately not many remain. The domain, consisting of the wooden windmill, mill house, stable, barn and bakehouse, is therefore protected heritage. The location next to a grain field completes the picture.
