The late baroque Silberzeile in Schärding is a very beautiful ensemble of colorful houses with bell gables. In summer the square is very lively, with many cafes and restaurants inviting you to linger.

There is also a lot to discover around the town square, such as the castle park, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Inn and Neuhaus. Schärding is therefore ideal for taking a breather on the Inn cycle path.

North-east side of the Upper Town Square, probably so named because of the rich merchants who once had their headquarters here when the Inn was still an important trading route. The colorful facades with pastel hues go back to the medieval guild colors that were assigned to individual guilds (e.g. blue baker, red butcher, yellow and green innkeepers).
