The EuroVelo 9 cycle route is part of the European long-distance cycle route network and connects the Polish Baltic Sea coast with the Croatian Adriatic Sea at 1,930 kilometers. It leads straight through the heart of Central and Eastern Europe: from Gdansk across Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia to Pula in Croatia.
Here we present the already completed section from Blansko / Brno in the Czech Republic to Maribor in Slovenia: a pleasure tour through wine regions, from spa to spa, through the city of Vienna and Styria to Maribor in Slovenia. Passing through vineyards, through historic towns and past pumpkin and corn fields, the cycle tour takes you from Vienna to Bad Radkersburg, which is identical to the Thermenradweg. Then the EuroVelo 9 leads a piece on the famous Murradweg to divert at Spielfeld south to Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia.
