Former sliding mill / malt factory

A mill operated here at the Schiebbach was first mentioned in 1553. Since the beginning of the 18th century it was called "sliding mill", which worked alternately as a grinding or cutting mill. In 1853 it became an oil mill, later a flax spinning mill and in 1890 a malt factory, which produced until 1990. In 1997 the old factory building was torn down. Today only a small waterfall and a few steps behind the archway remind of the old mill.
