Venizelou Square (Venetian Square) and the Church of the Holy Trinity form the center of Agios Nikolaos.

The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) is a Byzantine, three-aisled cruciform basilica with a dome. Its central nave is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the north aisle to the Three Hierarchs, and the south aisle to the Annunciation.

From Venizelou Square, through the old town, one axis of which is reserved for pedestrians, you reach the picturesque Lake Voulismeni, which has been connected to the sea by a narrow canal since the 19th century, and the romantic harbor. On Epiphany in early January, a procession with a band moves from the church to the harbor, where young people dive for the Holy Cross.
