The Horn of Amalthea, also known as the "horn of plenty," is an important symbol in Greek mythology. Amalthea was a nymph often depicted as a goat or as a woman with goat features. According to the myth, she nursed the young Zeus with her milk when he was hiding from his father, Cronus.

According to Greek myth, Amaltheia was a nymph who raised the god Zeus with goat's milk. Her horn is considered a symbol of abundance, also known as the cornucopia. An approximately 8-meter-high sculpture of this cornucopia can be found here at a small rest area on the promenade. It creates a beautiful effect against the backdrop of the sea and the bay.
