    Bracht was first recorded in 1241 as
    "Brachtfa" mentioned. After years of property disputes
    between the Archbishop of Mainz and
    the Landgrave of Hesse was Bracht
    “Stately”, i.e. in the Langsdorf Treaty of 1263
    awarded to the landgrave. The landgrave
    Hunting lodge from 1721 in Bracht was used, among others
    “Service yards” in the region, the landgraves
    and princes in addition to hunting in the castle forest
    also as a secret conference venue for their political
    Decisions. Today live in the Rauschenberger
    District brings around 950 people.
