Hiking
extensive palace complex, first secular monumental building of the early baroque in Prague. It was built in the years 1624–1630 in place of 26 houses, six gardens, two brick factories and a plot for Albrecht von Wallenstein (1583–1634), one of the most powerful and richest Czech aristocrats in the period after the Battle of White Mountain . Today the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic sits here. The adjoining Wallenstein Garden is open to the public in summer.
