The parish church of St. Vitus was first mentioned in 1154. It combines Gothic and Baroque elements. The construction of the tower began in the 13th century, an extension dates from 1923. In 1730 Abbot Wilhelm Söllner of the Cisterze Ebrach commissioned Balthasar Neumann to design a new building while preserving the tower and choir. However, the abbot rejected the draft as it was too expensive. In the choir room on the right side are the donor figures of the Bamberg diocese, Emperor Heinrich and Empress Kunigunde from the school of Veit Stoss.

Mountain biking

The parish church of St. Vitus in Burgebrach is a single-nave building with a retracted choir, with the tower on the south side. His mighty pointed helmet is visible from afar in the valley of the middle Ebrach. The basement of the tower from the 13th / 14th Century got a stone coat in 1764. This place of worship has definitely stood here for over 1000 years. Inside, Gothic and Baroque elements combine, which are very worth seeing.
