The church goes back in its core to the Early Gothic. The church tower stands on a rectangular floor plan west of the nave. Striking are the two pointed helmets crowning the tower. The steep sound openings of the tower are in three parts and provided with small double columns, which have capitals in cup form. In part, they were supplemented in later time.

The ship is long drawn and completed at the end of the east with a three-sided choir. In 1749 the ship was rebuilt and raised. On the north and south sides are two walled designed as pointed arches portals. On the east side there is still a window in original design.

In the second quarter of the 18th century, a grave chapel of the von Hackeborn family was added on the south side of the church. The baroque-style building is decorated with shellfish tables.
