On the history of the church:
Since the 15th century. Small chapel as a place of pilgrimage for the Sorbs (Wends) from Lausitz or Maria Schein in Bohemia, who made pilgrimages to Papstdorf
1523 Small chapel "zur Krippe Jesu" has belonged to the village since time immemorial, but cribs are parish "named Reinhardtsdorf". Funeral ceremonies and funerals were also held there until the 17th century.
    1605 Creation of a cemetery
1621 Inauguration of a wooden chapel, which burned down 12 years later
1633 Construction of a stone chapel with a turret and clapboard covering
1715-1852 First bell tower at the Krippen schoolhouse
1854 Demolition of the roof turret and addition of a wooden tower on the north side (weather vane from 1852)
1880-1882 New construction of the stone church in neo-Romanesque / neo-Gothic style
Master builder A. Hantsch from Krippen and architect Gotthilf Ludwig Mökel from Dresden (cost 26,000 Reichsmarks). The tower was built in a square on the southeast side, on the bell floor.

1880-1882 New construction of the stone church in neo-Romanesque / neo-Gothic style by master builder A. Hantsch from Krippen and architect Gotthilf Ludwig Mökel from Dresden (cost 26,000 Reichsmarks). The tower was built in a square on the southeast side, but on the bell floor it has an octagonal floor plan with a pointed dome. The organ, altar, crucifix and pulpit also date from the construction period. Windows, chandeliers and the wrought iron handrails were donated. The church was consecrated on August 28, 1882.
