Tips
The lakes around Mittenwald are simply wonderful: crystal-clear water, quiet forests, wide meadows along the banks and panoramic views of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains. It is particularly beautiful here in autumn, when the larch and maple trees around the Geroldsee slowly change color.

The Geroldsee is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in the south of Bavaria. The moor and bathing lake is dreamy in the humpback meadows near Krün. The Karwendel rises behind it.
