On the outskirts of the village Reichenstein, are the remains of the castle Reichenstein. From here you have an incomparable view of the Große Lautertal, the most densely populated valley in the Swabian Alb. The castle tower (keep) is open from April to October at the weekend for visitors. Admission free.

The Reichenstein ruins are located above the Lautertal near the Laufermühle. The ruins only consist of the keep (castle tower), which can be accessed via a very narrow spiral staircase. It is partly dark inside the tower and the stairs are difficult to see (somewhat dangerous). A flashlight would therefore be advisable. From the tower you have a great view of the Lauter valley and the surrounding Alb. Entry is free. However, the tower may be closed in the winter months.
