Not much can be seen of the original Gothic castle today, because Friedrichstein Castle has changed again and again since the year 1200. If you stand in front of the building, which is open to visitors, you will see a baroque palace in front of you. There is a nice museum there.

From March to November, the museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In winter then every Friday to Sunday and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: schlossfriedrichstein.de/historie.
