On this section of the trail you can see the so-called spruce lumps, which were created by Carl Friedrich Mergell in the 19th century in order to continue to use the Reinhardswald for the herding of grazing cattle and at the same time to generate income for forestry.

A fantastically beautiful path that winds through the spruce trees, both on foot and by MTB. Very nice in winter when the spruce trees are covered with snow. Really rustic.

So a little humility never hurts - remember that we mountain bikers are ultimately only one small cog among many and actually observe self-evident rules of behavior such as: Be considerate of the other user groups - whether humans, animals or plants. Don't leave any trash! Overall, try not to leave any traces. Kind regards - whether hiking or cycling forest users. Be sure to respect closures through the forest. There is a danger to life, especially when felling trees!
