Despite its beautiful panorama, the Großer Sonnleitstein has remained a quiet, rarely visited summit to this day. The remoteness and difficult public accessibility of the Hinternaßwald starting point contributes to this, as does the lack of shelters on the entire mountain range and the sometimes steep ascent routes.
