Windberg Summit (Schneealpe)

The Windberg (1,903 meters), the highest point of the Schneealmmassiv, rises no more than 30 minutes from the Schneealpenhaus. The Schneealm is located in the district of Mürzzuschlag in the province of Styria, only a small part of the massif belongs to Lower Austria. The view from the summit is sufficient in suitable weather (unfortunately I did not have that today) from the Hohe Veitsch, Hochschwab, Göller to Schneeberg and Rax. In extremely good visibility you can also guess the Gesäuse and the Dachstein massif.

At 1,903 meters high, the Windberg is the top of the Schneealpe. From here you can enjoy the view of the high plateau and see further to the Rax-Schneeberg group. With optimal visibility you can see the Gesäuse and the Dachstein massif in the distance.

The terrain here is so extensive that the multitude of hikers 'runs'. There are many places where you can really relax in nature. The tour is also suitable for children and dogs.
