Please check local regulations for: Naturpark Lüneburger Heide
Location: Undeloh, Harburg, Lüneburg Heath, Lower Saxony, Germany
Beekeepers and their bees have existed in the Lüneburg Heath since the Middle Ages. The harvest of the regional specialty, the heather honey, is very laborious and only limited to the 6-8 weeks when the heather is in bloom.
Then the beekeeper has to have a place to stand in the heather for his colonies, the apiary, so that the bees can collect the pure heather honey. This tastes completely different from other honeys.

You see the beehives again and again in the heather, interesting.
