Thousands of the otherwise rare Siberian irises color the meadows of the Eriskircher Ried blue-violet from mid-May to mid-June, the extent of the blooming is unique in Europe. The nature reserve with its alluvial forests and meadows between the mouths of Schussen and Rotach is the largest on the northern shore of the lake. Visitors can observe waterfowl from two platforms on the lake shore. Educational trails lead through the Ried.

In winter you can even use the barbecue area in the area of the swimming pool. 👍
      Great view and great playground.

The Eriskircher Ried - always beautiful: in spring the blooming trees, in early summer the iris meadows, in summer the water lilies and lying in the sun in the outdoor pool, in autumn the colorful foliage and in winter - I still miss the experience ... last but not least the bird life in every season.

The Eriskircher Ried is the largest nature reserve in the region.

From the observation deck you have a magnificent view over the lake. A side trip is definitely worth it.

This natural riverside is probably one of the most beautiful on the entire shore of Lake Constance.

Great view of the lake with the option to grill. There is also a great children's playground that can be used outside the opening times of the outdoor pool.

So beautiful when the wild irises are in full bloom. But the paths are also beautiful in all other seasons 😉

Especially in May / June very worth seeing, if the iris blooms wonderfully blue.

The iris flower is currently in full swing!

The path along the Schussen is ideal for bird watching. If you keep quiet, you might even see a kingfisher or a beaver. Unfortunately, despite the clearly visible prohibition sign, the path is also used by cyclists!

The entire area is dedicated to nature conservation and the preservation of biodiversity. There are many information boards explaining what to observe and where. The associated center offers various lectures for those interested. A big shout-out to the volunteers who do so much work. We were lucky enough to see the Siberian iris in bloom in May.
