Hiking

The angel's pulpit is a legendary rock near Ebersteinburg and a viewpoint. There is a stone cross on the rock. According to legend, the devil first delivered a sermon on the opposite pulpit, after which an angel appeared in the pulpit and also gave a sermon.

According to a legend, Satan and an angel stood facing each other on the two rock slabs "Angel and Devil's Pulpit" in order to eloquently draw the audience to their side. A stone cross was erected on the angel's pulpit. Where Satan preached there is now a memorial stone to commemorate the visit of Kaiser Wilhelm I during one of his numerous spa stays in Baden. He too enjoyed the magnificent view from the rock over the city to the Fremersberg.
