Best Hikes to Bärenbrucher Teich (HWN 137)

Tips

  • Nice atmosphere by the pond. The pond is quite large and cannot be completely overlooked from all sides. Therefore, different impressions always arise depending on the perspective. At the moment (autumn 2020) the forest on the banks is still in very good condition. This gives the pond a romantic flair.
Correction v. September 3rd, 2023: The condition of the forest is now as bad as in many other places in the Harz.

  • The Bärenbrucher Teich is a very beautiful Harz pond. To the south of the dam, a forest stretches along the bank. Here you have great opportunities for a snack in the soft grass and moss. On the northern bank, a root path leads you to further ponds and the Innerste jump. On the dam there is a refuge and a point of the Harz hiking pin. The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg also crosses the dam.

  • Insanely beautiful pond to rest. Actually, I wanted to continue on my first visit there 25 km, but somehow I have there 4 hours. sat and spent photos and dozing the day at the pond.
