The village women of Lingenfeld used to have their washing day here.

Three of the original four washing benches made of hewn blocks of sandstone have been preserved from the former village washing facility. They jut out into the Druslach on the part of the Wiesengrund known as the Tuchbleiche below the Lochmühle. Up until the beginning of the 20th century, the women of Lingenfeld washed their laundry here by hand according to the old tradition. The laundry, previously treated with curd soap, was brushed, turned, rubbed and beaten with stones on the mighty stone desks. On the meadow and on the slope, the white laundry was bleached and dried in the sun. The laundry was given the coveted bluish shimmer by constantly pouring water over it. The laundresses used the waiting time on the festival-like laundry days for lively conversations. At this point there used to be a bridge over the Druslach, initially made of wood, designed in 1761 as a stone structure.
