The sections of City Wall provide a fascinating insight to the historical city of York and how it was laid out centuries ago.

Not suitable for young children if not kept close, as large sections have a 15-20 foot (4-6m) drop in places from the unprotected edge of the wall.

The section from Layerthorpe Bridge to Bootham bar is quite narrow but does have a railing to protect those walking from falling off the edge.
