The Griess cellar, beautifully laid out in steps, is indisputably one of the most beautiful beer cellars in Upper Franconia. It is in a fantastic location on the edge of the forest near Geisfeld. If you love sunsets, you can admire them in the evenings in the upper part of the cellar complex, with a view of the fields and the main moor forest. In addition to the great ambience, the cellar also offers Franconian delicacies. Every 14 days there is fine fish from the grill on Friday.
The beer used to be stored and served in the rock cellar. After the war the beer cellar fell into disrepair. The Griess family rebuilt the beer cellar and the buildings in the 1980s. You can find the opening times and up-to-date information at: griesskeller.net
