From Wikipedia: The Peace Chapel was built in 1958 on the southwest slope of the Osterberg on the initiative of the local pastor Baptist Leidner and the returnees, the population and the municipal administration of Nüdlingen. While the municipality provided the building material in the form of timber and rubble, as well as a substantial sum of money, the local men carried out the necessary construction work free of charge.The chapel houses a statue of Mary inside and, in accordance with its purpose as a place of peace, bears the inscription "Queen of Peace, pray for us" above the chapel room.On July 4, 1965, for the first time in 52 years, a first class was held in Nüdlingen, which Wilhelm Mahlmeister, who came from the village, completed in the Peace Chapel because the St. Kilian Church was closed due to construction work.
