Gothic brick church built around 1460. However, the year 1518 is assumed to be the year of construction, since the church was redesigned in that year. The church was also destroyed in a major fire in Wustrow in 1691. It was rebuilt around 1700.

In 1691, a great fire destroyed the entire town of Wustrow, including the church, the vicarage and the church books in it. An extensive collection of the hardly used Wendish language also fell victim to the flames, created and almost completed by hand by the then pastor Christian Henning von Jessen.
Despite the devastating destruction of the church building and the associated loss of these unique and culturally valuable documents and texts, the church was rebuilt a few years later around 1700 and prepared for the services.
If you come to Wustrow, you should take a closer look.
