The Chapel of San Michele is a small church built between 1992 and 1993 at the behest of Michele (Much) Happacher as thanks for surviving a dangerous accident in the mountains of Forni Avoltri during a course of the CAI.
Mountaineer, mountain guide, ski instructor and instructor, Much was also a farsighted entrepreneur and pioneer of winter tourism. It was he who started the hotel in Passo Monte Croce and the adjacent ski lifts.
