The Alexander Church is a very powerful brick church. It has an impressive charisma and is basically THE highlight of Wildeshausen.

The Alexander Church is the only surviving basilica in the Oldenburg region. In the middle of the church is the 14th-century triumphal cross. The choir is dominated by the large Art Nouveau window. Remains of the old Levite stalls as well as the tabernacle and the reliquary shrine have been preserved.A highlight of the church since 1970 is the organ. The acoustics inside the church as well as the excellent performances of the church musician and his choirs contribute to the fact that the church concerts are known far beyond the borders of our region.Source: wildeshausen.de//info/poi/alexanderkirche-914000145-21701.html
