Today there was finally something to see at the renatured sand pit, four gray goose pairs that might also breed there. The storks in the field are probably still looking for an apartment. He has already moved into Gödestorf (please click on the picture, then you can also see the head).
The fruit trees on the civic orchard are already partially in bloom and hopefully promise a good harvest for summer and autumn.

Today we extended our Milchhol tour a bit in the most beautiful weather. The paths were by far not as easy to use as on the cycle path on the road from Gessel to Ristedt, but you can get through. The bear was going on in the Warwer Sand, many walkers and families, so as a cyclist you had to cut back a little. The high mountain was also very well attended, the view from there is always a pleasure. Oh yes, enjoyment, in the end we supported the local economy and enjoyed the delicious waffles at Carstens ice cream pavilion.

We simply used the sunshine again to explore the surrounding area.
The tour led on asphalt paths through the landscape. The bike paths along the roads are very well covered.
As it should be for us, we let the sun shine on our faces and watched the cranes move. It is amazing what huge formations these birds move on their way in the sky. We are always amazed at this.
And of course a thank you to the nice people we met and their entertaining chatter, which brightened up the day and reduced the average speed. 😁

The fields are the yellow of rape, the sky makes us believe that it is spring.
The leaves are becoming colorful, the cranes are on the move again and the mushrooms are in the woods. It is autumn.
It is autumn and just the right time to enjoy the play of colors in nature, to enjoy the scent of the damp forests. We took advantage of the calm weather to visit Harpstedt again.

We used the sunny late summer day for a tour around Wildeshausen.
The "Wildeshauser Geest" tourism association has revised the bike tours in the Wildeshauser Geest. New route guidance, new tour names and new signs lured us on the watermill tour. We found two watermills, the Aumühle and the Heinefelder Mühle. We also encountered the Fietsen junctions.
The barrows are impressive structures. I keep asking myself how the people of the Stone Age moved these young rocks and where they got the stones from.
Of course we had the other kind of highlights. A chat in Poggenpohls Eck with the hikers from Steinhagen who are on vacation in the Wildeshauser Geest. The owner of the farm at the Globus von Westrittum invited us to a spontaneous tour of the farm today. A collection of unique items has been created here with attention to detail and creative creativity. In addition to the globe of Western Britain, the only waterfall in Western Britain is located here.

We just wanted to get milk from the milk tank in Warwe.
On the way back, lightning and thunder threatened to overtake us,
hence the slightly higher average speed than usual ............

Despite the humid air, we dared to get out ...
If a man or woman has to go into the bushes, you can have very unexpected encounters. In the grass, a spider in the club colors of the BVB lurked for appetizing bites that should go online.

A small round trip through the fields this morning. We were out as animal fright today: be it the cute calves on the suckler cow pasture, who moved away from the fence when we stopped curious, or the buzzards, who left their viewpoints when we got closer, also the deer, which I cycle past , chased out of the corn field, escaped too quickly to take a picture. Last but not least, we were able to observe a stork for a while, which took a lot of time to look for food in a meadow. Unfortunately, he was a little far away for the cell phone camera.
