Edelreiser cellar of the district of Forchheim. The processing is known as a traditional method for the targeted propagation of fruit trees since ancient times. For this purpose, noble vines (branches or rods of a noble variety whose fruits one wishes to harvest later) are connected to a new base (an existing plant). In Bavaria's only district-owned rice cellar in Hiltpoltstein, the district of Forchheim temporarily encumbers thousands of fine vines. Once a year the Reiserkeller opens for a public Reiserausgabe.
