The garden house stands in the garden of a former princely bailiff and was built in 1700. Having gradually fallen into ruin, it was rebuilt in 1977 on the initiative of the city administration and with financial support from the Office for Monument Preservation and thus became the jewel of the city of Forchtenberg. In the summer months it is used for civil weddings and for representation purposes.
