Schöntal Abbey

Very beautiful and spacious monastery complex with the church as a highlight. Most of the buildings outside the monastery wall are also former farm buildings and are well worth seeing. The monastery café with garden terrace invites you to take a short break.

Take bathing suits, bathe in the chase on the weir and relax in the meadow. Is an official bathing place right next to the monastery. Delicious ice cream and more are available to go to the Klosterkiosk or to relax in the Klostercafé

Kloster Schöntal is idyllically situated in the valley of the Jagst in Hohenlohe. The Cistercian monastery surprises by the imposing double tower facade of the baroque church. In the cloister there is the tomb of a prominent person: the knight Götz von Berlichingen.
