Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The shady Sutschketal is easy to navigate on both sides and offers a microcosm of deciduous trees, marsh, mosses, ferns, marsh flowers and lots of mosquitoes. For an almost mosquito-free break, you can settle on the bench at Lake Sutschke and admire the rug of water lilies.

The Sutschketal is home to a variety of rare habitats. In addition to wet meadows and bogs on the valley floor, there are dry oak forests and remains of dry grass on the slopes. In the Sutschketal, the Dahme-Heideseen nature park and the Brandenburg Nature Protection Fund are involved. As part of the LIFE-Nature project "Sand turf in the Dahme-Seengebiet", lime-rich sand dry turf could be preserved or restored from 2013 to 2019.
