BÜRGERHAUS SCHUHMARKT 1
Built in the 16th century. One of the oldest preserved types of Perleberg merchant houses. Probably rebuilt in 1676, allegedly by councilor Stephan Konow. In the front part of the house is an old, barrel-vaulted stone cellar. Gable with rosette, eaves side with ship's throat ornamentation.
During the restoration in 1986 -1989 it was restored to its original state.
Since then it has been used for exhibitions.

Merchant's house * Schuhmarkt 1
The gabled half-timbered house today gives the impression of how it was used as a merchant's house in the 16th century (see Grosser Markt 4).
A high hallway was built on the barrel-vaulted stone cellar, while on the first floor there was a relatively low floor into which light fell through hatches.
Before its renovation between 1986 and 1989, the building underwent several conversions for residential purposes. buergerverein-perleberg.de/markt_4.htm
