Nice tour with crisp climbs, which are more than rewarded by views of the Rhine Valley. Refreshment opportunities in St. Germannshof, where you can also enjoy the German / French flair or in Wissembourg on the French side or Schweigen Rechtenbach on the German side. It is difficult to highlight one of the excellent restaurants or wine yards with gastronomy, as the tastes are also different. If you are planning to stay for several days, there are many holiday apartments and hotels in Schweigen Rechtenbach. But watch out! on the weekends or when there are events, book early !! Have fun following the tour

  • On one side you can see the Rehberg / Asselstein near Annweiler, on the other side you have a wonderful view of Alsace

  • The stone table is a table-shaped sandstone formation on the northern ridge of the Hohe Derst. Nearby there are two beautiful viewpoints on the Rhine plain and the Dahn Rockland. By erosion, the softer components of the sandstone were removed, the hard rock core stopped.

  • The rock table itself is worth seeing. And just a few meters away there are benches for a break, either with a view of the Rhine plain, or with a view of the Palatinate Forest and the black run.

  • Great stone formation in the form of a table, like many other formations that shape the Palatinate Forest. Easily accessible via MTB or on foot. Warning: some access routes require advanced knowledge at least for MTB.

  • This bizarre rock formation is a real highlight! In the immediate vicinity there are also two vantage points and a nice rest area. In addition, the subsequent descent on Tour 10 here offers the key technical section of the tour with an entertaining S2 section. So there really is something to do up here!

  • The climb up to the stone table is more than worth it. The uphill trails are very enjoyable. Once arrived, you are rewarded with an amazing view and this particular natural wonder. Also, you can choose how hard you want your descent to be: downhill trail or normal single trail flavours. Watch out for the different options and take care.
