Hiking

The Salzweiher is a small, artificially created reservoir located in the middle of the forest, east of Fleckl in the municipality of Warmensteinach, at the southern foot of the Ochsenkopf mountain. Its origins date back to iron mica mining, and it is fed by the young Steinach River. An old mining symbol is carved into a rock 50 meters northwest of the pond. The ice-cold water is refreshing on hot summer days.
