The Lueg is a popular destination in the Emmental. Especially in winter, when you've had enough of the grey fog in the Mittelland, you can often catch a few rays of sunshine up here. Racing cyclists have countless climbs and options from all directions, and mountain bikers even more. The Lueg is not too high and still has a long climb from Oberburg, so it's a good training mountain after the winter break. You'll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the snow-covered 4000-metre peaks of the Bernese Oberland. Whether the name "Lueg" (Bern German lueg = look!) comes from this is pure speculation...
