The nature reserve Ribnitzer Great Moor is a nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is located east of Graal-Müritz in the city forest Ribnitz-Damgarten. It is easy to reach from Graal-Müritz to the east and from Neuhaus to the west. It is worth going in there to see the uniqueness of a forest moor.

The nature reserve "Ribnitzer Großes Moor" is one of the largest rain bogs in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with 274 hectares. It is located in the city forest Ribnitz-Damgarten.
The Ribnitzer Moor is the northern foothills of the Rostock Heath, the largest contiguous forest area in northern Germany. In the west, the bog is bordered by the Baltic Sea and in the east by the Bodden.

The area is not that big that you can get serious, but labeling on the map and in reality are not always consistent. So better plan extra extra time, if you have turned down a bit too early and an extra round. In any case, it pays off, there is so much to see, hear, smell, enjoy ....
