I would like to point out that seven hours from Zugspitze to Alpspitze is already extremely ambitious. The rule walking time is ten hours.

Due to many accidents of "normal" via ferrata walkers, it has been decided to reduce the steel rope fences on the part between Zugspitzgipfel and bivouac box as far as possible. This part has a very alpine character and is not a via ferrata.

The Jubigrat is a serious alpine undertaking that can be extremely dangerous, especially in ice / snow or when the tide is thundering. There is only one emergency descent to Knorrhütte in Gratmitte on the more than eight kilometers long ridge. The 3er Kletterstellen are in the upper part between Zugspitze and bivouac box. Recommended walking direction from Zug to Alpspitze or Grießkarscharte.

The Anniversary Ridge (D & 3-) is one of the most spectacular ridge crossings in the Eastern Alps.

The very long ridge climbing is demanding and only recommended for experienced alpinists. It is not a pure climbing tour, here is also alpine climbing experience required.
From a ridge summit goes down and back up to the next. The ridge crossing should be tackled ONLY in good conditions and fine weather, here even experienced mountaineers come to their limits in terms of fitness. You should immediately take the first train (8:00) on the Zugspitze and start as early as possible, because there are over eight climbing kilometers waiting for you! Good seven hours you should count to get to the Alpspitze and then hopefully catch the last train into the valley. →
