Best Hikes to Wasserfall in der Höllentalklamm
Tips
  • An absolute must, just gigantic. Best in the morning, so you have your peace

  • The waterfalls are part of the Höllentalklamm. Overall an easy hike that is very impressive. Alternatively, if you are in a better condition and surefooted, you can walk the Stangensteig on the way back. You cross the Höllentalklamm over a 30 meter high bridge and have another perspective. The gorge is closed over the winter and it is not possible to visit it.

  • Absolute highlight. The occasional shower from above is welcome on warm summer days. We had a lot of fun

  • There are many things to do in Grainau and the surrounding area. Between the Zugspitze and the Klamm, we decided on the gorge. And we haven't regretted it! It's a little adventure. And just gigantic. One thing is certain, you mustn't be afraid of water. A warm, sunny day is recommended so that the way back is dry and warm again. Waterproof rain jacket with a hood, very good shoes - preferably hiking boots - are a must.

  • you have to see it. Don't forget a rain cover, you get pretty wet.

  • A path carved into the rock walls allows beautiful views of the Höllentalklamm through many rock windows. On the way it often drips from above, so it is very wet and slippery. Rain jacket and possibly sticks for surefootedness are helpful. I was amazed that the rock path stretched over a really long stretch.

  • A great experience, very impressive gorge. Not recommended in the rain - we had to cancel the tour after receiving three showers over water falling over the rocks. Unfortunately, we did not receive a warning at the entrance, we only assumed that there would be further drizzle ...

  • The danger of falling on the Stangensteig should not be underestimated - some hikes ended here

  • First of all, the way to the entrance of the gorge is very long. Then taking photos is almost impossible, as it usually goes through tunnels. If there is no tunnel, it is very damp from dripping water.

  • Path from Garmisch to the gorge very idyllic. Leads over gravel & asphalt. No gradients...the gorge is absolutely worth seeing.... Only an increase through the forest of about 1 hour before you reach the entrance.... so plan your time
