The Glatzener Moor is one of the oldest and largest nature reserves in the Karlovy Vary region and at the same time the most valuable part of the LSG Kaiserwald / Slavkovský les. It was founded in 1933 on Five peat bogs in the area of Kladská.

The Glatzener Moor is a unique ensemble of mountain moors at an altitude of 800 to 930 m and a total area of almost 300 ha; the largest of the moors is the so-called 'Taiga' (Tajga). In 2005, the Glatzener Moor nature reserve was included in the network of areas of particular importance. It is one of the oldest and largest nature reserves in the Karlovy Vary region and at the same time the most valuable part of the protected landscape area of the Kaiserwald / Slavkovský les.
